Overview
The Force.com IDE provides a unified interface for building and deploying Force.com applications. Built for developers and development teams, the IDE provides tools to accelerate Force.com application development and deployment, including source code editors, test execution tools, wizards and integrated help.
Installation
Available a plugin for the industry-leading, open-source Eclipse project, the Force.com IDE can be installed as a standalone application or added to your existing Eclipse distribution.
For users developing exclusively on the Force.com platform, these installers will download Eclipse code from a public mirror and configure the Force.com IDE to launch as a standalone application:
- Windows Installer (32-bit)
- Windows Installer (64-bit)
- Mac OS X Installer
- Linux Installer (32-bit)
- Linux Installer (64-bit)
